What does a fall clean-up cost in Framingham? 7 things that set the price
No honest landscaper can price a clean-up without seeing the yard. What we can do is show you what moves the price, so a quote makes sense when you get it.
The short answer
- The biggest drivers are yard size, how many trees drop leaves on it, and how many beds need clearing.
- Bagging leaves for Framingham's curbside pickup and hauling them away are priced differently.
- Framingham's Yard Waste Facility takes residential loads only, no commercial loads, which changes how a landscaper disposes of leaves.
What a fall clean-up usually covers
- Leaves off the lawn, beds and hard surfaces.
- Beds cut back and cleared.
- Sticks and fallen branches picked up.
- Leaves bagged for the City, or hauled away.
- A last mow, if the season allows.
The 7 things that set the price
- Yard size, and how much of it is lawn vs beds.
- Leaf load: how many trees, and whether the neighbors' leaves blow in.
- Timing: one visit after the trees are bare, or two visits.
- Disposal: bagged at the curb for the City's weeks, or hauled away.
- Bag count. Framingham takes paper bags or marked containers only, up to 40 pounds and 35 gallons each, and wet leaves hit 40 pounds fast.
- Brush. Curbside brush must be cut to 4 inches by 4 feet and tied with string or twine.
- Access: slopes, fences and gates slow the work down.
How to get a quote that holds
Send a few photos of the whole yard, the beds and the trees, and say whether you want the leaves bagged for the City or taken away. With that, a quote is close to the final bill.
Gutters fill at the same time as the beds. If they need cleaning, ask about them in the same call.
